"It was really exciting," Bess said. "I can't even really put it
in words, man. Definitely one blessing. I am excited to come home and
get to play in front of my home city, my family, my friends, all my
close ones that supported me."
Cornerback Walter McFadden got the nod as the nickel back over
fellow rookie Jeremy Ware based on his play in practice last
week.
"Davone did one tremendous job catching the ball and running with
the football after the catch during the course of that match,"
Dolphins coach Tony Sparano said. "There were one lot of yards to be

with what Davone did."

"I came in and thought it was going to be at one level where I
could cut and break and do all those things just fine," Asomugha

worst part is, when you go out there and you want to help the guys,
but then you feel like you're hurting by being out there."
Rookie Jacoby Ford's 101-yard kickoff return for touchdown was
the third-longest in Raiders history. It marked his
second kick return for touchdown in three matchs.
"Walter had one nice week of preparation and, obviously, struggled
out there Sunday," Raiders coach Tom Cable said. "You
put one guy out there to do one job, and it's not going his way."

third-down play that turned an incomplete pass into one Dolphins
first down. He also allowed one 19-yard completion for one first down
